Emma was always like "a breath of fresh air!" I
enjoyed so much talking to her and meeting Chris at the CHS
Class Reunion a few weeks ago. She was so bubbly and happy...she
seemed to be glowing! Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris
and Emma's family.

I have been a friend of Emma's since elementary school. I
will never forget all the fun times we had! We never did anything
really bad, but we played an awful lot of harmless tricks
on people. Emmie was the Queen of tricksters!!! She could
always come up with some really good jokes, like her famous
upchuck mixture!(anyone that was around at the time knows
what I'm talking about). She was one of a kind, a very loving
person and a person who was loved dearly by everyone who knew
her. I'll miss her!

It was only two weeks ago when I saw
Emma and her husband Chris at the 30th CHS reunion. Who would
ever thought we would loose such a wonderfull friend and classmate.
I want to say I'am sorry to her family and my prayers to them.
We will miss her

I was very sad when I heard about Emma's accident; but I know
that Emma is rejoicing with our Lord! She has achieved her
goal! I first met Emma in 1983 when I started work as a County
Agent with the UGA Extension Service. She was a friendly out-going
person who made everyone feel like they were her best friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with each of Emma's family members.

Our family was blessed by Emma's life. Through our daughter's
(Leigh Anna) 4-H experience, my husband Steve and I got to
know Emma. Emma presented herself with confidence, a leader
and a positive inspiration to all. As parents we thank you
for all of the guidance you gave our daughter Leigh Anna Thompson,
M.D. We will always love and remember you. God Bless your
family.

Mrs. Alberts was a joy to the family that is here at Beacon
and even though not all of us knew her, she was still a delite
to hear speak. I only shared a few words with Mrs. Alberts
and wish that I could've shared many more. May God bless her
family like she has blessed ours.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting and working with Emma
on the Presbyterian Youth Council in the early 70's. She was
always a warm spirtited person. I had not seen her again until
our 30th high school reunion a couple of weeks ago. She still
radiated the same warm spirit. We will all miss her, but we
are better for having know her.

I knew Chris and Emma from attending AWC up in Marietta a
few years back and I was shocked and saddened to hear about
her death. My prayers and sympathies go out to her family
and especially Chris.

Emma was my sister's best friend in school and they were college
roommates at UGA. She was a bridesmaid in Kim's wedding. She
was always so funny, happy and full of life! What a great
friend she was to our family. She will never be forgotten.
God Bless Emma.
